NYC: We partnered with Heirloom Supper Club over the weekend to bring over 40 people together for a communal dinner. The Heirloom team served up 4-courses with wine pairings, a welcome drink, and all the cool vibes.

This was an awesome partnership to watch come to life. There is no better mix than food and friends. & You can’t change my mind.

BOS: Last night we hosted a NA Bev tasting at Dray Drinks with over 35 people coming, and SO many new faces. The team at Dray was super stoked to meet you all and show you new options. We couldn’t be happier to foster community this way & Taylor, Boston’s Head of Community, said there is plenty more to come.

TSA Regulations are money-makers for Makeup Companies.

My Bff, Seeley, prompted a great question the other day.

That I don’t have the answer to — but this is the ‘food for thought’ section, and this is food for thought:

How much money do you think cosmetic companies make off of TSA liquid allowances?

Just one tube of face wash could be $45, and if it’s full — Well now you are tossing it AND having to buy a new one.

Which, ends up being both wasteful and profitable for the producer of these goods.

You’ll most likely buy another face wash.

And for your next trip, you may as well also buy the travel-sized version too.

Arguably, TSA has now prompted you to 3x your purchase patterns just for poorly prepping the first time you traveled.

The tough thing for cosmetic companies though — Enough people have complained about this, now some TSA areas offer mailing boxes for people to ship goods home instead of tossing.

AND! For those who don’t ship it home: I found a site that sells some TSA discarded items. Which is a little wild, but there are no makeup products here.

End of the thought — but I think the lesson to be learned here is: Get travel-sized containers so you don’t end up tossing $150 worth of skin care.
